Whether you're new to the sport, are returning after a lengthy break, or have just moved to the area, we are here to help you get started playing tennis.

There are many ways you can get started, but it's recommended that you find a program designed to help you in the early stages of learning tennis.  Teaching pros make learning to play fun and research shows that you are three times more likely to enjoy tennis if you are part of a new player program rather than just trying to learn to play tennis by yourself.

Be sure to visit our LEAGUES page for much more information on joining a local league team.

USTA League Tennis in the Charleston area is growing every year. The Lowcountry Tennis Association is one of the largest local tennis leagues in the country. Of the nine states in the entire Southern Section, we are the second largest league in terms of both players and participation. While numbers do not always equate to quality, we like to think that we have grown to this level because we have created an enjoyable atmosphere, and our size allows us to have a structure that smaller leagues cannot have. The purpose of this page is to tell you a little more about the Lowcountry Tennis Association, league tennis, and how you can join us.
