National Tennis Month Proclamation & Gifts
The Mount Pleasant National Tennis Month Proclamation Reception will be held on May 23rd at 10:30AM at Mount Pleasant Tennis Center. Mayor Will Haynie will read our Proclamation, have a little Chic Fil A and watch some of our Super Seniors face off in a match!
The LCTA City of Charleston Proclamation will be held on May 28th at 5:00PM at the City of Charleston City Council Meeting at City Hall on Broad Street. Please drop by for a free tennis ball cookie and to show your support for new courts and facility improvements in the City!
Please look for 3 of our Board Members – Melinda Zegas, April Gift and Nancy Pitcairn will be visiting 10 LCTA matches bearing Gifts and Gift Certificates – This is celebrating National Tennis Month – Thanks Melinda, April and Nancy!
Congratulations to Daniel Island Club Tennis Director Ben Cook
Over the weekend, A new Tennis Facility in Kershaw, South Carolina was opened and named after Ben – who helped with fundraising for the Facility.
Ben is from the the small town of Kershaw, he became a star player on the South Carolina Gamecocks Tennis Team and has been a strong advocate of the LCTA in his years in Tennis Management. There are now 375 USTA registered tennis players within the Daniel Island Club which he oversees.
