We do not take these accomplishments lightly.
The LCTA is a very Large, Highly Competitive Tennis League – Advancing teams had many hurdles to overcome, along with playing superior tennis.
We are proud of all our teams who will be participating and wish you the best of luck – Bring back the Trophy!
May 2024 is National Tennis Month in the US
- A Mayo Clinic study showed that tennis players live 9 years longer than those that lead a sedentary lifestyle. (Think about it, 9 more super bowls!!)
- In 2023, nearly 24 million people played tennis in the U.S. – A 34% increase since 2019. Nearly 5 million of those were first time players – or 20% of the total, which is a 133% increase since 2019.
The LCTA will have 3 Proclamation Receptions in May –
- 5/14 – Goose Creek Town Council – 6:00PM
- 5/14 – Mt. Pleasant Mini Breakfast Reception at 10:30AM with Mayor Will Haynie, drop by for some Chic Fil A!
- 5/28 – City of Charleston City Council Meeting – All CTC/Maybank USTA players drop by – Free Cookies!
Please remain Low Country Tennis Advocates – we need more courts – Tennis and Pickleball – along with better court quality overall.
Please point this out to your local politicians and recreational heads whenever possible.
The LCTA gives back
So that you can have a continuous high quality tennis experience on court.
The LCTA Facility Allocation Committee awarded the following Grants – to be used immediately and was part of our fee increase this year.
